Fartlek Saturday

Fartlek is one of the easiest ways to add a little bit fun to your run.

Just add some steady, controlled accelerations during the easy run. 

We will be doing some shorter repetitions today, to get us started -30sec. Yes, I feel rusty ;)

Here is an example of our session : Fartlek 40min easy with 6 x 30sec / 1min on the way. 

This means we will run easy for 15min-20min, then accelerate gently(not sprint) for 30 sec. then run easy for 1min. Repeat this x 6.  Once the reps are done , just run easy to achieve 40min of total run. 

Other variation for less advanced: 30min with 4x 30sec/1min

or for more advanced 50min with 8x 30sec/1min
